Do you think Royal Montreal GC's unique layout will challenge even the best golfers at the Presidents Cup?

The 2024 Presidents Cup will start in only a couple of days with Team USA and Team International duking it at the historical Royal Montreal Golf Club. In the history of the event, the International Team has won only one edition so far, and it has been 25 years since their 1998 victory. The Mike Weir-headed team has some of exceptional golfers like Min Woo Lee, Mackenzie Hughes, Jason Day, and Tom Kim, among others.

Whereas on the other side, Jim Furyk’s Team USA has the world no. 1 & 2, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, and more such faces. The game will surely be intense, and golfers are preparing for it too. But there are certain things that fans should be aware of doing or avoiding at the Royal Montreal Golf Club to enjoy the Presidents Cup fully.

  • Keep your tickets handy at the gate of the Royal Montreal Golf Club and arrive at the venue a little early to get into the shuttle bus and reach the first tee on time. The items should be checked for not having any prohibited items, or they would be sent back to vehicles to keep them there.
  • You cannot carry a beverage inside the Royal Montreal Golf Club, nor can you take any drinks outside the venue. The fans are allowed to carry a reusable metal or plastic bottle not exceeding 32 ounces, which is empty on entry and exit.
  • Food can enter the Presidents Cup’s venue, but always in a clear plastic bag, which is resealable and only holds one gallon.
  • At all times during the competitive rounds, the fans are advised to keep an eye on the scorecard, not just for who’s leading and who is trailing but to check for weather conditions. The screen will warn the patrons of the upcoming weather and whether they are supposed to take a safe shelter or make a run for home. In case of rain, an umbrella without sleeves is allowed.
  • The PGA Tour has suggested on its official website that the purchase of anything on site should be cashless, and fans are advised to use their debit or credit cards as there is a “tap-and-go” facility available at the vendors and other sites.
  • At all the PGA Tour events, when the weather gets dangerous for the fans and golfers, the play is usually suspended until further notice is given, and it is done by a siren or other sirens to alert the people. Be at all times aware of any such warnings.
  • During the rounds, mobiles, tabs, or any other electronic device are on silent. However, fans can even carry a radio, but with a headset, so it does not disrupt the experience of others on the course.
  • The fans are allowed to carry binoculars but without any case and foldable chairs that don’t have any bags or cushion chairs that do not have any comparisons.
  • Do you want to capture your favorite golfer play? Well, that can only be done on the practice days of the Presidents Cup and not during the actual rounds. Then too, fans are allowed to use only a film or DSLR camera that has a lens smaller than 6 inches.
