Brooks Koepka has recently returned from Los Angeles after a T17 finish at the US Open. His performance on the LACC greens hasn’t been his best so far in the majors, and he needs to reflect as to how he could turn it around quickly.
But, before that, he has another challenge in front of him. One, that will prove his abilities in an activity other than golf. To add more excitement to this challenge, his competitor might be none other than his own brother! The five-time major winner sounded pretty confident about the matter at hand. Chase Koepka, on the other hand, was undeterred and was ready for a dance-off.

An interesting question made its way to the players of Smash GC. The video of the same was posted by the team account on Instagram. The question was quite simple but fetched great responses, providing an insight into the buoyant side of the golfers. The curiosity was: who is the ‘Best Dancer on the team?’
All it took was a five-word query and the Koepka brothers went head-to-head. In a self-assured manner, 33-year-old Brooks said that he was going to vote for himself. Tuning on his cheeky side, he added, “Because I have definitely seen Chase dance“.
But the younger of the two brothers had a different perspective. Chase Koepka said, “My brother has a few. He tries really hard“.
Well! Based on the younger Koepka’s statement, Brook’s dance movements might not be as natural as his golfing actions. Moreover, the younger brother sounded confident that ultimately it would be a competition between the two brothers when it comes to dancing. His confidence was evident in his statement that he was “prepared for that battle“.

Some support for Brooks came shortly after. There was another Smash GC player who picked Brooks Koepka as the best dancer. Jason Kokrak said, “Don’t Know! Brooks is self-proclaimed best dancer I would say but I think it is, I’ll give him that one“.
However, an interesting thing to notice during the entire clip was that Matthew Wolff was missing from both the video and the players’ statements. Wolff is the fourth member of Smash GC captained by Brooks Koepka. Though, recently he has been reportedly having a rough patch with the team.
The rocky road ahead of Matthew Wolff and Smash GC
One of the few people to first inform about the probable departure of Matthew Wolff from Smash GC was golf journalist Dan Rapaport. Although, no reason regarding his split was confirmed.
According to the sources, the golfer was looking for a new team in the middle of the season. Given the time of the shift, many speculate it might be difficult for Wolff to switch.
Even though currently the roster of Smash GC has the player’s name on it, the official social media handles tell a different story. Both the Twitter and Instagram accounts of Smash GC have removed Wolff’s name from its bio. Clearly, it’s a tough situation for the player as well as the team.
However, to add to the problems of the 24-year-old, Wolff hasn’t played in any of the four majors since the time he missed cuts at the 2022 Masters and PGA Championship.
