She is dubbed the ‘Golf Queen’ for a reason. Not because of an illustrious professional career in the sport, which the diva doesn’t have, but because of the change Paige Spiranac has brought into the sport. This she was able to do while simultaneously sporting an even more successful career as a model. The Wheat Ridge native has come quite far in her career and recently took a little trip down memory lane.
The 31-year-old was spotted engaging her fans in another Q&A session in which one of her followers posed a curious query; “More proud of… SI cover or golf career?” The influencer, meanwhile, went ahead to honestly respond while pointing out how tough of a question it was owing to her being proud of them in different ways.

“I know I didn’t accomplish everything I wanted to on the golf course,” admitted Spiranac in her Instagram story, as she alluded to her professional career. The athlete had played at the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic in 2015 as well as the Cactus Tour, where she won her first event in 2016. Despite her small record of victory, she had never earned an LPGA Tour card.
Paige Spiranac, however, quickly added how it was a different matter altogether when it came to the outside of the course: “But when I look at what I’ve done off the golf course… I paved a path for so many women to want to make careers but more importantly to get into the game of golf. That is so, so special.” She has, throughout her career, played as a golfer and a caddie competed at a high level, run camps for juniors, and coached many players, all the while sharing her story. This has, undoubtedly, helped many get inspired.
It is hard to refute the golfing influencer on this aspect when one looks at the effect she has had on the sport. She has tried to actively challenge the traditional norms of golf and thus make the sport more progressive and inclusive. The influencer had even dished out advice against the usage of pants at the St. Jude Championship in Memphis when it was hot and humid, causing many, including Lucas Glover, to sweat profusely.

“That one means so much to me because I was considered a ‘Legend’,” divulged the ravishing American while referring to the recent Legends shoot by the SI magazine owing to its 60th anniversary. She further recounted how she was told, “No. You can’t do this. You’re doing it the wrong way!” throughout her life only to prove everyone wrong; “It was validation that throughout those hard times, it was worth it.”
That’s not all. She didn’t shy away from complimenting the other models who took the same journey as her. “When I look around at my ‘Legend’ class, I can’t believe the women that I’m surrounded with.” Interestingly, after watching the 31-year-old and her career over the years, one would find it hard to disagree with Paige Spiranac when she says, “It’s just really cool to be recognized that way!”
