The 2023 PNC Championship’s roster consists of some of the golf world’s most refined talents. One such talented golfer participating in this year’s championship is Nelly Korda, along with her father and former tennis pro, Petr Korda. But this year, there is one slight change in Team Korda!
At Ritz Carlton this year, Jason McDede, Korda’s official caddie since 2018, is not on her bag. Instead, this weekend, it’s McDede’s wife, who herself is an LPGA Tour pro and has taken charge of the former world number one’s bag. The German professional golfer, Caroline Masson, is carrying the bag for Nelly Korda at the PNC Championship.
Masson caddying for Korda hasn’t gone unnoticed by the larger golf world, as it is a rare sight to see an Olympic-level golfer caddying for a fellow golfer. Not only an Olympic golfer, but Masson is also a Solheim Cup veteran as she has represented the European team four times. The German golfer was duly accredited at the last hole on Saturday by golf analysts during the tournament.

Only time will tell if the Solheim Cup pride caddying for Korda will fetch her victory or not. At the moment, however, Nelly Korda has not started as well as expected at the Ritz Carlton GC. Nelly Korda and her father, Petr Korda, started the first round outside the top ten; it is yet to be found out how things will fair out for the duo across the next few days.
But is Caroline Masson caddying for Korda the first time Jason McDede has been replaced?
Who else has caddied for the Nelly Korda except Jason McDede?

In their long years of association, there have been points where McDede could not caddy for Nelly Korda. One such occurrence came in May this year when the famous American professional golfer had to request Tiger Woods for his caddie, Joe LaCava.
This was because Jason McDede was on an extended break at the time, as he had welcomed his first child with his wife. Therefore, Korda used the service of the ex-looper Joe LaCava at the Founders Cup in New Jersey.
