The first day at the 2023 PNC Championship was an exciting one. Along with the record score during the opening round by Team Kuchar, there was one more highlight of the day; Rain. The weather forecast for the weekend for the PNC Championship was not very good to begin with.
There was a high chance of rain and thunderstorms on both days and well, the forecast did come true for the first day. Will it be the same for the second day as well? The chances are there!
Would it be raining at the PNC Championship during the final round?

The weather forecast for Sunday is not much better as compared to Saturday. There is still a high chance of thunderstorms in the morning, which could delay the start of the final round. Although the rain could ease up in the afternoon but the wind is expected to remain quite strong.
Sunday morning in Orlando is projected to have a temperature of 73°F. Anticipated winds are at 17 mph, with gusts reaching 36 mph. The day is expected to be predominantly cloudy, accompanied by a 65% chance of rain, potentially limiting visibility to five miles.
While talking about the bad weather defending PNC Champion Vijay Singh said in the press conference, “I think everybody’s going to have some kind of problem dealing with the wind if it starts to gust a lot. But I think we’ll be okay,”.

Notably, the weather was better on Thursday and Friday, when the players had their practice round of the tournament. The sky was cloudy, but on Saturday, the weather changed and started to wind heavily with slight rainfall. Heavily blowing wind made it difficult for the players to hit the ball accurately, but not for all the players!
How did the first round of the PNC Championship look?
The first round of the family affair event was full of excitement. Spectators were eyeing budding young talents such as Izzi Stricker, John Daly II, Charlie Woods, and others! But to everybody’s shock, Will McGee, and Cameron Kuchar stole the show. When all the teams were struggling to find their rhythm amidst the heavy winds and rain, Team Kuchar seemed utterly unaffected.
Kuchar duo carded the sensational score of 15 under 57, making it the second-lowest opening round score in the tournament’s story. The golf fraternity had high hopes for Tiger Woods and Charlie. Team Woods put the final score of 8 under 64 on the scoreboard after the first round and tied for the 11 position along with four other teams.

Fans are eagerly hoping to witness Team Woods get back out there on the course, and turn the game around! It would be amazing for everyone to see Charlie and his father lift the Willie Park Trophy in their fourth attempt and avenge their 2021 close defeat!
