The curtains for the 2023 PNC Championship have finally fallen. The event, which was expected to be one of the most hearty competitions of the year, lived up to its legacy with golf’s biggest legends lining up for the prestigious belts. The eyes were all on Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods, but unfortunately, they met disappointment yet again.

The final stage glory was stolen by none other than Bernhard Langer and his son Jason Langer. Team Langer has been one of the most successful duo in the history of the PNC Championship, and this time also, the powerhouse duo proved why they are one of the best in the business. This triumph surely has brought Christmas early for the Langer household!

The much anticipated 2023 PNC Championship witnessed many dramatic moments unfolding. But nothing this year will ever compare to the performance of Bernhard and Jason Langer. The father-son duo started strong on day one with a strong 60-point finish, but it was the second day that pushed them over the line. As the Langers made the final putt, the final score on the cards was 59! This surely is something that the family will never forget.

This epic finish also gives Jason Langer a platform to boast as well. His 2023 win makes him one of the most successful children in the PNC slot. 2014 and 2019 are the other two times that the Langer family came out on top in the Championship.

What makes this victory more unique is that the victors were able to change the winds in their favor despite the close finish from day 1. This surely would have upset the Kuchars, who in the end dropped to T5 to share a seat with the Woods. Though there were slight mishaps in putting by the Langers at the last hole, they conquered the mounting pressure to finish off in style.

Despite the Langers lifting the prestigious titles, one cannot ignore the mammoth presence of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie Woods from the field. Though they were not able to win the title, it was one of the most wholesome events for the Woods. Sam Woods, Tiger’s soccer-loving daughter, was caddying for him, and they ended up T5.

Not a bad finish for the recouping Tiger Woods, but Charlie, who was showing dominance on Day 2, would have wanted to end the event on a higher note. All these dramatic moments summed up to the success of yet another edition of the PNC Championship, and the Woods can hope to steal the title from the Langers next year.
