However, Zhang isn’t the only LPGA golfer turning heads. Leona Maguire, who turned pro back in 2018, has kept the attention of her fans and the audience with her spectacular swings throughout this season’s LPGA Tour so far.

As the players prepare to enter the next event soon, Maguire shared her positive outlook despite her finishing T11.

Maguire has been a fan-favorite in the KPMG event.

Up until the third round, the pro golfer maintained a one-shot lead. “I think it’s one more round of golf. I have to hit one shot at a time tomorrow and play some really good golf. It doesn’t matter that it’s a major. It’s really no different than any other day, and I’m not going to treat it any different,” she said before the final round.

Unfortunately, the 28-year-old golfer did not make it into the top-10 at the end of the KPMG event. She missed the top 10 by one shot with a total score of 280 on the leaderboard. Her performances over the first three days were really good with scores of 69, 68 and 69. However, her final round of 74 undid all her good work of the first three rounds.

Despite missing her chance at the title and also the top 10, Maguire remains in good spirits. “Not to be yesterday but plenty of positives to take from two great weeks,” she shared on Twitter.

She loves playing golf and that’s what it’s all about for her. Her finishing position may not have been the best or as she hoped, Leona refuses to beat herself up about it.

Given Leona’s lead at the end of the third round, the LPGA community expected a better delivery. Maguire says she will continue to play the pro circuit simply because she enjoys swinging her club and taking extraordinary shots.

Her positivity when declaring, “We’ll be back,” shows her dedication to the game and herself. Whatever she might feel inwardly toward her performance, the Irish golfer maintains a stiff upper lip and looks towards her bright future undeterred.
