While most of the golf enthusiasts were celebrating Scottie Scheffler’s stunning podium finish at the Olympics, something harrowing happened in the golf world. A plane crashed. Yes, a small plane made an emergency crash landing on a golf course in Sacramento, California, this Sunday. The whole incident has been caught on camera, and if you are wondering about injuries and their consequences, here is what you need to know.

After 1 PM on August 4, the Sacramento Fire Department rushed to Haggin Oaks Golf Complex after getting an emergency report of the plane crash. They have reported the truth of the incident. The small plane was a single-engine Piper 28A. The pilot took off from McClellan Airfield just a little ahead of 1 p.m. By the time the Piper reached almost 400 feet above sea level, the pilot could sense its engine failing.

According to the Fire Department, the pilot knew that he was not going to make it to any nearby airport for the emergency landing. Hence, when he saw a golf field, he did not waste any time. KCRA reported, “The pilot saw the golf course and brought it down with a belly landing. The plane skidded off the grass into the pavement and then came to rest against the pro shop.”
