The prodigal son has returned! After staying away from professional golf for over a decade, it looks like Anthony Kim has decided to come back. However, the rumors have it that he will not be returning to the PGA Tour. But he will start anew with LIV Golf, thanks to the efforts put in by Greg Norman.
How is the LIV Golf CEO involved in his return? You may wonder. Well, according to rumors, Norman personally took over the negotiations with AK. So it looks like the perseverance of the LIV Golf CEO was what brought the disappeared golfer back to the greens, not the millions of dollars being offered by the PIF.

With this rumor making its way to the internet, the reactions of the fans have also started pouring in. According to rumors, Anthony Kim has signed on with LIV Golf and is set to play as a wildcard at LIV Jeddah next week. But how are the fans taking it? Unfortunately, not in the way LIV Golf wanted them to.
Golf fans criticize the return of Anthony Kim
The return of the American golfer is being criticized for multiple reasons. The biggest one is his decade-long absence from the game. At the peak of his career, Kim was declared to be ‘the next Tiger Woods‘. However, he failed to live up to that title and disappeared from professional golf because of his left achilles tendon ruptured.
Now that he is making his possible return, golf fans are calling it a money move. “After a decade of sparse income, AK has decided to pimp himself out,” a fan said.

While some minced their words, a fan dropped an unfiltered reaction. They called out LIV Golf and Bryson DeChambeau for having double standards. They said asking for OWGR points and letting a player play who has not competed in a decade don’t go hand-in-hand.
This follows up nicely with Bryson saying LIV has met the criteria for OWGR points…. You bring in someone who hasn’t played professional golf in a decade…as a “wildcard” after turning away other players who tried to earn spots on LIV🥴

But not all fans rejected the idea of the return of the American golfer. A fan wished they got the same AK back from his prime.
Hope he still has some firepower. He was awesome at his peak. But man, 11 years is a loooong time to be away. The game is pretty different now than it was
