The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is currently on at the Old Course in St. Andrews, and so is the drama and lighthearted humor. A bunch of top golfers like Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre are battling it out for the coveted title. While the crowds surely get to see some epic shots, the poor shots and the backlash that comes with them are pretty inevitable and that was exactly the case with Piers Morgan who is a British TV personality.
There’s nothing better than watching celebrities humbly take on the golf course and Morgan and Sir Steve Redgrave’s attempts at the Alfred Dunhill tournament were pure gold. After Sky Sports posted videos of his poor shots, not once but twice, Morgan had enough and decided to clap back. In the first video posted by Sky Sports fans could see that both Morgan and Redgrave struggled with their swings which eventually resulted in poor shots.
The second video was posted when Morgan’s golf game took a humiliating turn at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and his terrible shot on the 18th hole left spectators and commentators speechless. Morgan replied to these videos by posting a video of himself on X directly aimed at Sky Sports. In the video, the golfer scored a good eagle with the ball sinking right into the hole, “Hi @SkySportsGolf – I know you like to only show my bad shots at @dunhilllinks .. so here’s my second net eagle of the day so far at Kingsbarns. We’re only on hole 8. @dragonjones”, read the caption.

Other than taking a jab at the sports organization, Morgan also said something about Tiger Woods which maybe what most people would agree with.

As many of us already know, a lot of fans would do anything to give the GOAT playing for ages and Woods also doesn’t look like he is planning on retiring anytime soon. The 82-time PGA Tour winner surely has a hold on his fans’ hearts but now it’s clear that it’s more than that. Take Morgan for example, we mean just look at the enthusiasm he had when talking about Woods it was pretty palpable that the golfer is a big fan.
“I would pay to watch Tiger Woods until he’s 90. So if he wants to keep playing golf, let him play”, he said. Morgan believes Woods should keep playing for as long as he wants to and said, “‘I would never, ever write off Tiger Woods. Obviously, his body’s not quite there yet, but if he was to get back to proper fitness, he’s an incredible athlete”. We all know that Woods has had a plethora of injuries and surgeries over the years and the latest one was recorded just a few days ago when he got a microdecompression surgery of the lumbar spine, which was a success. Morgan also thinks Woods is the greatest golfer of all time which is no one is denying. “I think Tiger is the greatest to ever play the game”, he said. So do you agree with Morgan here?
