Even at the age of 53, Phil Mickelson is among the fittest golfers. With decades of experience under his belt, he still rules the golf scene, making him one of the top players highly poached by LIV Golf. Mickelson, who at a time has shared the course with Greg Norman, has always proved his supreme skills.

Norman had immense trust in Phil Mickelson and continues to maintain it despite Mickelson’s recent stretch of bad form. Maintaining the status of being an elite player in any sport is not an easy task. However, Mickelson seems to do it effortlessly. But despite playing on the PGA Tour for years, he couldn’t obtain the legendary status that Woods enjoyed. However, at LIV Golf, he is on the way to such a pedestal. Recently, Norman was on a discussion panel when the topic of Mickelson arose. After being asked where he sees Phil’s game at the moment, Norman glorifies Mickelson’s golf technique through his answer.

He answered, “I was actually going to make a comment during that segment right now, but if it were Phil, he would be talking about it. He is talking about the early release or holding the release of the early or early release. But what Phil does brilliantly is what he does with his left hip. Right, so for Phil the bit there and release a little bit early, it’s what you do with the left hip firing the golf ball”.

Continuing his praise, Norman added, “One of the biggest faults of most amateurs, the left hip or the right hip or right hand stops, and then the arms keep going. If you go watch back that again, watch how his left hip or how level it is and how it’s firing at the golf ball. That allows him to get the club out in front of him. Then he can do whatever he wants to do, early release, hold it a little longer. That’s why he has developed the power he’s developed.” Clearly, Norman is very impressed by Phil’s skills and hopes to see him perform more.
