With 150+ championship titles won between one other, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson would have become an ideal golfing pair if they got along well. However, like most of the other top sports entities, the two have developed a professional rivalry between each other. The two have often tried to win over the other, with Woods having the upper hand most of the time.

Furthermore, Mickelson and Woods like to share trash talk on and off course. Since the latter has achieved more, Mickelson rarely gets chances to belittle his rival. That is why when he won The Match: Tiger vs Phil, an unofficial event, he celebrated it like he had won a major.
