Phil Mickelson is back in business! Along with golfing, he has finally become the ‘Phil the Thrill’ the golf world knows as he is back on Twitter, being his usual self-trash-talking his rivals. Recently, the 6-time major champion has been part of every golf-related discussion on the social media platform, and his latest comment on Tiger Woods and five other PGA Tour loyalists shows off why he is the GOAT in trash-talking.
It all started with Mickelson replying to a Tweet from a Twitter user, Danny Woodhead, a retweet from another netizen proposing a LIV vs PGA Tour event in a Ryder Cup event. “It sounds great, but we would dominate them so soundly,” he commented. “And it would be over so quick that tv would have to fill an hour of dead time. That’s why it’s not happening at this time,” his reply further read.
As expected, it took no time for the comment to become the talk of the golf world. Netizens rushed to the section to show their viewpoints on the matter. While some of them joked, some made good points in the comments section. And one, in particular, garnered the attraction of the source who started it all.

They do seem to talk a lot
— Phil Mickelson (@PhilMickelson) February 2, 2023
Notably, the Tour players mentioned in the comment – Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, and Max Homa – are known to be vocal in the LIV Golf vs PGA Tour discussions. While McIlroy always represents the Tour and often talks about the same in press conferences since he is the 2021 elected chairman of PAC, the others, too, talk in favor of the Tour and against the Saudi league, whenever they get a chance. Hence, it is a no-brainer that Mickelson wrote the 7-word message as a jab at the six Tour loyalists.
