Being an active Twitter user, Phil Mickelson always keeps his fans entertained and sometimes irritated on the social media platform. Though he sometimes keeps his focus on golf, even ‘Lefty’ takes a political stand owing to the situation.
Something like that happened recently after the owner of Tesla and Space X, Elon Musk, was brought under fire by the US government over highly concerning accusations. And jumping into the hot situation, Mickelson is showing his humourous side to the world.

Although Elon Musk is in the news every other day for one reason and another, this time the situation is so shocking that even Mickelson couldn’t control himself to express his sentiments. This week the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) accused Elon Musk and his own SpaceX of discrimination against refugees and asylees in hiring.
On Thursday the DOJ filed a lawsuit against the company stating that they discouraged refugees and asylees from applying at Space X and have refused their application between September 2018 and May 2022. This is a violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
Sharing the news on Twitter, Alex Tabbarok who is a Professor of economics at George Mason University, accused the DOJ of employing the same discrimination. Surprisingly, Elon Musk reacted to this tweet and replied “DOJ needs to sue themselves!” After that Mickelson soon shared his own take on the situation.
This can’t be real. Is this a parody account?

It looks like Mickelson is having fun toggling with this piece of information. The news has become very viral and is buzzing on the internet. The department states that Space X falsely claims that it only hires US citizens and lawful permanent residents who hold green cards.
Mickelson, who is full of sarcasm and wit, used some of it in this situation to lighten the moods of the fans.
Grave accusation on Space X for discrimination
Speaking on the matter Kristen Clarke, Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, said in a statement “Our investigation found that SpaceX failed to fairly consider or hire asylees and refugees because of their citizenship status and imposed what amounted to a ban on their hire regardless of their qualification, in violation of federal law.”

He also claimed that Space X has “actively discouraged asylees” from seeking employment in their company and through the lawsuit they want to hold the company accountable.
Though Mickelson hasn’t made it clear whose side he is on, he sure is taken aback by this alarming piece of news and proceeds to produce some light humor out of it.
