One of the Twitter accounts shared a very negative review of a fan on his social media. ‘Full Swing’ was compared to “Drive to Survive” by the critic. In his review, he wrote that Netflix’s golf documentary was a failed attempt. He wrote, “In that spirit, and as a golf agnostic, let me say this: Netflix’s new series Full Swing aims to do for golf what Drive To Survive did for Formula One… but shanks it horribly off the tee, into a pond, tries to roll its trousers up and hit the ball out of the pond, falls over in the pond, gets into difficulty, needs rescuing by a frogman.”
The review was ruthless and felt like it was coming out from a biased opinion. Moreover, it further read, “…eventually catches Weil’s disease and suffers massive organ failure and dies, horribly, propped up on an uncomfortable chintz banquette in a clubhouse being yelled at by a double-glazing salesman about how many miles to a gallon he gets in the Audi.” This review has stirred anger among fans of the sport and has even received massive retaliation.
Fans reacting to the unfiltered review of Full Swing by a fan
Most of the fans were enraged after hearing such harsh criticism of their favorite sports documentary. Fans questioned the reason behind writing such a harsh review, while others remained stunned at the pragmatism of the review. One of the Twitter accounts accused the review of being written out of jealousy and claimed that the critic must be envious of those who have already viewed the entire season.
What makes you think that?!

Maybe he’s just jealous of his compadres who have already got to watch the whole season.

Another fan questioned the authenticity of the review. He inquired whether the Head of Content at the BBC wrote the review. Despite this, others disagreed with the review and deemed it worth watching. However, the extremity of the review did leave a few of the fans amused. They did not lag behind and made a speculative guess about the identity of the critic, targeting a grump and alleging that the individual habitually has a negative attitude towards others.

Is that Jamie Corrigan? I often have the impression that the curmudgeon just hates people generally!
