Rickie Fowler’s career has been fraught with ups and downs. It was especially so during the 3 years that followed his 2019 win at the WM Phoenix Open. But, he rose spectacularly in 2023 when he scored the lowest round ever in the U.S. Open’s history, followed by a win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Meanwhile, throughout thick and thin, there was but one presence beside him pushing him forward, none other than his wife, Allison Stokke.

A talented golfer like Fowler has found his soulmate in another talented athlete. Although the professional should get full credit for his accolades including his comeback on the greens, one can’t help but notice his wife’s role in helping mold that success, along with staying together with the American in the difficult journey of life!

Allison Stokke, the golfer’s wife, was born in Newport Beach, California, on March 22, 1989. An athlete herself, she decided to follow her older brother, David Stokke, who was a national-level gymnast, into the sport of gymnastics, which she didn’t thrive in. However, in 2004, she was able to break the pole-vaulting high school freshman American record with a 3.86-meter jump at Newport Harbor High School. That’s not all, she went ahead to break the same in the following year with another 4.11-meter vault.

As a result of her record jump of 3.86m, she emerged victorious at the US Championship in the age group of 15/16. Moreover, she also won the CIF California State meeting two times following the feat. Her pole-vaulting accolades helped her land an athletic scholarship at the University of California, after which she joined the California Golden Bears team.

Come 2012. Stokke tried out her luck for the American Olympic team trials but was unable to qualify as she fell short of the required criteria of 4.25m. Meanwhile, after the fated year in which she lost her chance at the Olympic team, her performance started to fluctuate, after which she started working as a sponsored athlete and model for various brands such as Nike, Athletica Athleisure, and Uniqlo.

Well now the ex-pole vaulting athlete is happily married to a professional golfer who has won six times on the PGA Tour. What’s more, one can’t help but sit back and watch their charming relationship, which was first made public in 2017.

The adorable love life of Fowler and Stokke

“For me, being able to get input or hear her side, it means something,” said Fowler on ‘Full Swing’ about his wife. The two were first spotted together in 2017 at the Moto GP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. After a year of dating, the California native took her up to Southampton before the 2018 U.S. Open, where the then-boyfriend popped the fated question.

The golfer asked his friend and fellow professional, Justin Thomas to take a picture. Surprisingly, after a couple of pictures, Fowler’s girlfriend turned around and spotted him down on one knee, sporting a big smile on his face. Well, the rest of their story is nothing short of adorable, as the two went ahead to tie the knot in front of 48 guests in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 2019.

The couple welcomes their baby girl

Since then, the two have enjoyed a happy life together, which was made even sweeter with the birth of their daughter. The athlete’s wife announced the arrival of a new member to their family in June 2021 when she divulged the same on Instagram, “Coming in November… @rickiefowler might find himself a little outnumbered.”

The PGA Tour Pro was also visibly excited about the arrival of his daughter. “I was kind of waiting to be able to share with people, and then that’s kind of when it starts to become real,” disclosed Fowler as he added, “So we’ve been able to share it with friends and family a little earlier and then started to share with more people and now everyone knows.”
