The road hasn’t been easy for Justin Thomas this year. The golfer has delivered underwhelming performances throughout the year, causing him to miss the cut at majors, including the Masters. Apart from his poor form, the golfer was also surrounded by a handful of controversies.
Amidst all the lows and negativity, Thomas has kept his hands full and mind occupied. The 30-year-old golfer has joined forces to create a golfing community with one of the legends.

Thomas unites with a legend for a golfing venture
The golfing venture saw the coming together of the Golden Bear and JT. Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas teamed up to create Panther National, a luxury golfing community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The project is expected to be operational later this year.
Thomas recently for the first time took a swing at his self-designed golf course. The golfer gave a sneak peek of the greens on social media. The caption on the post captured his excitement. “Pretty special day today… got to go around @panthernational for the first time!”
When asked about his thoughts on legendary Nicklaus and the golfing venture, Thomas replied, “It’s an absolute honor to work with one of the icons of the sport, not only as a player but as an innovative golf course designer.”

The veteran golfer appears to have no complaints but only compliments for the 2-time major winner and stated: “I am thrilled Justin has decided to take on this rewarding challenge.” Nicklaus went on to share his hopes for the new venture and believes the venture will have a positive impact on Thomas’ golfing career. “And I’m confident this venture will serve him well, both on and off the course.”

A turbulent course for Justin Thomas
Thomas found himself in the midst of the storm all through the season. He missed the cut at the US Open after playing a second-round 81. It was not the first time this year that he had missed the cut. Earlier in April, he missed the cut at the Masters too. Again at the British Open, the last major of the year, the American golfer missed the cut.

Despite his lackluster performance, Thomas was picked for the Ryder Cup team. Captain Zach Johnson’s decision was met with a lot of backlash. Many thought Thomas to be an undeserving candidate for the Ryder Cup. Even at the Ryder Cup, Thomas failed to meet the expectations with 1.5 points out of a possible 4. Hopefully, he will soon make an incredible comeback as predicted by Nicklaus.
