Scottie Scheffler finally clinches back his title as Masters champion from Jon Rahm! Much to the excitement of the whole community, the American pro had managed to rake in his second major victory at the iconic Augusta National. However, that is not the only thing he has snatched back from the Spaniard. What else, then? Well, just like back in 2023, the 27-year-old will be the one hosting the 2025 Champions Dinner.

While the menu this time around comprised ‘Mama Rahm’s Classic Lentil Stew’ among other Spanish dishes, the coming year will undoubtedly witness a different cuisine. Meanwhile, one can’t help but wonder what Scheffler will cook up in the coming year when it comes to one of the most famous traditions of the Masters Tournament.

Will Scottie Scheffler follow a Texas-style menu in 2025?

The current No. 1 golfer in the world stays with his wife and family in Dallas, Texas, and has also spent his childhood there after moving from New Jersey. Consequently, Scheffler had the chefs at Augusta National prepare a Texas-style Champions Dinner back in 2023 when he was the defending champion. Thus, it is quite natural to assume that the dinner the next time, in 2025, will be influenced by the same or be something quite similar to what he dished out last year.

The two-time Masters champion had opened his four-course meal with “Scottie-style” cheeseburger sliders served with firecracker shrimp, made from sweet Thai chili and Sriracha mayo. Adding on, he followed it with tortilla soup consisting of avocado, crispy blue tortilla strips, sour cream, cilantro, and lime.

The third and main course of Scottie Scheffler’s American-style cuisine was highlighted by Texas Ribeye Steak or Blackened Redfish served along with family-style mac & cheese, Jalapeno creamed corn, fried brussels sprouts, and seasoned fries. However, the grand finale of the meal included a warm chocolate chip skillet cookie served with milk and cookie ice cream. Truly a mouth-watering combination however way you look at it.

Besides, the 2023 Champions Dinner didn’t fail to impress the past winners of the iconic event. However, not every aspect of the meal was to the liking of the Masters champs, as some had gone ahead to comment on the spiciness of the soup.

Was Scheffler’s dinner too spicy to handle?

“That soup was pretty damn spicy, but I enjoyed everything else,” said 1979 winner Fuzzy Zoeller when asked about the dinner. Agreeing with him was none other than 1973 champ Tommy Aaron, who admitted, “The ribeye was fantastic, but the tortilla soup was spicy as hell.” Even Nick Faldo couldn’t help but add, “The toughest thing was the tortilla soup. That was one spoonful too much for me.”

Meanwhile, such delectable cuisine was followed by yet another series of dishes, in 2024, but this time around, it took on a Spanish touch. Well, Rahm, with the help of José Andres, had cooked up quite a Spanish delight for the previous champs. Anyhow, Scheffler will be expected to whip up yet another amazing menu for the coming year, and it’d be a lie to say that the fans aren’t eagerly waiting for the same as well!
