From the beginning, Tiger Woods has always opposed the idea of LIV Golf. The $3 billion merger was quite a shock for him, who, despite being a key member of the PGA Tour, knew nothing about it. He paid back for this betrayal with his new and upcoming TGL Tour.
This new league which he has started in association with Rory McIlroy will kick off by January 2024. And in a bid to promote his new league for the first in a long time, Woods is taking a big dig at the opponent, tour.

Assembling the top golfers of the PGA Tour, Woods, and McIlroy are all but ready to launch TGL which is an indoor game in comparison to the traditional large fields. It will be played inside a dome on a simulator with an audience capacity of 1500 at once. He called it a ‘modern twist of traditional golf’ which will attract the young generation towards it.
As the date of launch is coming, like a true investor, Woods has taken up the job to promote his new venture. And comparing to his opponent he says that he doesn’t understand the format of the Saudi-funded tour. “Some of the stuff I’ve seen in LIV… I couldn’t figure out what the hell was going on. “Here, it’s very simple.”
He continued and explained. ”Generally, golf takes about five or six hours to play. In today’s world, it is hard for anybody to go [that time] without looking at their phones. The shorter the time, the better.”

Who will be playing in Tiger Woods’ TGL?
Besides Tiger and Rory names like Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Tyrell Hatton, and a few other elite players have already joined. Besides the players, one team of four players has been finalized as well. The Boston Common Golf are Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Tyrell Hatton.

Besides being an investor, McIlroy will also be bringing his swinging shills to the game. Earlier the Irishman also shook away the claims that the sole purpose for forming TGL is to stop playing from moving to the other side of LIV Golf. He and Woods now hope for productive returns in terms of money and game.
