Following suit, the second round was suspended at 5:29 p.m. as dangerous weather followed. But after an hour, at 6:30 p.m., the 21 players left to play their second round continued their game. But on Saturday, things would go smoothly for the players and authorities alike at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Per the weather forecast shared by PGA Tour Communications on X, it would be a dry day with plenty of sun. The Saturday round features a high of 74°F and no clouds till noon. By 1:00 p.m. EST, the clouds will be seen, but there is a 0% chance of precipitation and lighting, with the temperature going as low as 59°F with a light west wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph.
Finally, Jay Monahan’s nightmare of weather constantly disrupting the events had been put to rest. With the moving day expected to pan out on time, the third round would not most expectedly be delayed or stretched on till Sunday.
