It is not a secret that many golf fans consider Tiger Woods a golf robot who is only passionate about the sport since the beginning of his career. However, the golfer opened up about himself over time and let the golf world see his human side. 

One such moment happened during the 2013 WGC- Bridgestone Invitational when his son visited to watch his father play.

In the YouTube video PGA Tour posted, the viewers can see Woods celebrating the victory with his son, Charlie Axel Woods. “That’s an image we’ve not seen,” a commentator said as the golfer shared the moment with his son. “And that is extraordinary because it shows the connection and bond he has with these kids,” he added. “We’re not used to seeing Tiger as a father.”

Born in 2009, Charlie Axel Woods was 4 years old when he visited his father at the WGC. However, he has grown up now, and many believe he will be an incredible golfer like Tiger Woods.

The young Woods has been displaying evidence of becoming the next best golfer through the tournaments he gets to play with his father. Charlie Woods played his best golf in the 2020 and 2021 PNC Championships, the unofficial PGA Tour-sanctioned father-son event. 

Tiger and Charlie Woods’ team could only secure second place in the 2021 PNC event. However, the then 12-year-old managed to attract fans with his mannerism and golf like his father. Notably, the father-son duo even carded 11 consecutive birdies in the event.

Woods won the U. S. Junior Amateurs from 1991 to 1993 and three consecutive U. S. Amateur titles from 1994 to 1996. He established his name as one of the best golfers even before becoming a professional.

The golfer turned professional in 1996 and has ever since won 100+ titles worldwide, including 15 majors and 18 World Golf Championships. Furthermore, he has also created numerous records in his name. The records include the youngest to win the Grand Slam and the golfer with the most consecutive cuts made; 142.

Woods is widely considered the greatest golfer of all time. Although the golf world wants Charlie Woods to be like his father, Woods has never expressed the same. As the loving he was seen at the 2013 WGC, he wants what’s best for his son.
