The PGA Tour hosts plenty of events throughout the year; one such event is the World Wide Technology Championship, also known as the WWT Championship. The event will take place from November 2 to November 5. The venue for the event is El Cardonal Course in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
An interesting element of the course is the fact that it’s designed by Tiger Woods’ design firm. Of course, the course will have great standards of play, with the element of challenge intact. The event will feature a competitive field with a good sum of money up for grabs. This adds an element of entertainment and thrill to the event.
What are the stakes at the WWT Championship?

The World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico boasts a generous purse of $8.2 million. The winner of the tournament will claim a substantial prize of $1.476 million.
The event will be held in a stroke play format, and a cut will be applicable after the first two days. The winner of the event will get 500 FedEx Cup points in addition to the humongous prize money.
However, the road to victory is not going to be easy since seven of the players from the top 50 FedEx rankings are going to be competing for the title. Conversely however, the defending champion. Russell Henley will not be on the field.
The event is going to be a challenging one given the fact that some of the top players of the world are going to be chasing after the prize pool. Five players from the top 50 in the world ranking will also be in attendance. Prominent players like Cameron Smith, Cameron Young, Lucas Glover, and Ludvig Aberg are also going to be in attendance.
