The golfing world would find themselves on the edge of their seats as the penultimate event on the FedEx Fall season draws near. The community would be able to witness a lot of talented athletes on the greens. Although the field would not include the defending champion Seamus Power, the rest of the players would prove to be nothing short of a tough competition for each other as they aim to cement their position inside the top 125 of the FedEx rankings. Let us take a quick look at the top contenders of the event, who are aiming to lift the trophy.

1.  Lucas Glover – Currently placed at No. 18 in the FedEx standings, the American profession experienced a bumpy year of sorts in 2023. Boasting a total of five top-10 finishes amid a number of unmade cuts, the golfer was able to push himself to the 32nd position in OWGR owing to his performances. Managing to emerge victorious two times in the year at the Wyndham Championship and the FedEx St.Jude Championship, the athlete would be a top contender for the title.

2. Brendon Todd – The golfer, ranked at 47 in the standings, is indubitably a top contender for the title. He finished a total of five times in the top-10 positions in 2023 although being unable to clinch a single victory in the year. His best finish came from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the John Deere Classic where he placed T2. Nevertheless, the 2019 winner of the Bermuda Championship is a fan favorite regardless.

3. Ben Griffin – The 27-year-old is currently ranked at 56 on the standings. Although Griffin only has a single career win at the 2018 Staal Foundation Open presented by Tbaytel, he has managed to showcase his exceptional skills on the course with runner-up positions in the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship and a T3 at the 2023 edition of the upcoming event.

4. Lucas Herbert – Ranking 144th on the standings, the Australian golfer has a total of three top-15 finishes including a win at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan. Moreover, the 27-year-old, during his stint on the DP World Tour has garnered a total of three victories. And, with the upcoming week, the 2021 winner of the same tournament would be looking to strengthen his record.

The layout is owned by the Government of Bermuda along with the Ocean View Golf Course. It is located on the shorefront of the Southampton Parish and is popular for being one of Jack Niklaus’ favorite greens.

The 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is home to the Bermuda Championship every year. Doglegs and wind, coupled with the greens would prove to be a challenge for the golfers. Moreover, the infamous 16th hole, placed atop craggy cliffs would test the grit of the players in the field.
