2024 Mexico Open: Round 3 Weather Reports Explored

After a chaotic run in the US, the PGA Tour has landed in Mexico. The 2024 Mexico Open is well underway, and it is turning out to be a nail-biter. After the first two rounds, Jake Knapp, Matt Wallace, Sami Valimaki, and Alvaro Ortiz are leading the pack with a score of 11-under. This four-way tie for the top spot will make the weekend rounds a worthy watch. However, weather will play a crucial role in making or breaking this event.

We have seen this year that the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and WM Phoenix Open suffered from severe weather conditions. Is this the case for the latest PGA Tour event too?

Sunny skies to continue for the third round at the 2024 Mexico Open?

The third round will turn out to be the pivotal point of this event. Luckily for the players, the weather gods have blessed them with favorable conditions. The sunrise will occur at 7:25 AM, and the weather will remain sunny throughout the day. Furthermore, there is zero chance of rain and lightning on Saturday.

The temperature will range from 66 degrees to 82 degrees. However, the biggest trouble for the players will be strong winds. The winds will be mellow from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., ranging between 3-6 miles per hour in the north-east direction.

However, from midday, the winds will blow in a south-west direction at 5–10 miles per hour. They will pick up a further pace from 2 PM to 6 PM, going upwards of 10–15 miles per hour!

Following this windy third round, the final round of the 2024 Mexico Open is also treading on the same lines.

Final round weather conditions predictions at Vidanta Vallarta

Following the same pattern, the weather on Sunday will also turn out to be sunny with clouds. The temperature will range from 62 degrees to 81 degrees. But after a windy day, the humidity of 74 percent will cause trouble for players.

But the good news is that there will be zero chances of rain, meaning the event will proceed uninterrupted. Furthermore, the winds will also not be as harsh as in the third round. From 9 a.m. onwards, the winds will blow at 3 miles per hour in the south-west direction.

After midday, the winds will blow at 4 miles per hour in the north-east direction. But by 3 PM, the winds will pick up a pace of 7 miles per hour in the same direction.
