The 2024 Cognizant Classic is just around the corner! Many golfers will be arriving at the Palm Beaches to secure the trophy of this 50-year-old event. Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, and defending champion Chris Kirk are a few who will be catching the attention of the fans. While 144 golfers will be competing against one another, they will also have one common enemy: the weather.
Multiple events in the past, like the WM Phoenix Open and AT&T Pebble Beach, fell prey to severe weather conditions. But is it going to be the same in Palm Beach?

The event at Palm Beaches is scheduled to take place from February 29 to March 3. Unfortunately for the players, the weather conditions are expected to be playing their own game. For the first round on Thursday, players will mostly have cloudy conditions with a five percent chance of rain. The temperature is expected to vary between 79 degrees and 70 degrees.

Along with the chances of rain, the winds will probably blow strongly at 9 miles per hour! The humidity will also mostly touch 71 percent. The second round of the PGA Tour event will not be any different. The temperature will vary between 79 degrees and 70 degrees.
However, the chances of rain will probably increase to 10 percent! The winds will also pick up pace and blow at 13 miles per hour. While the first two rounds only have a chance of rain, the weekend rounds are in dangerous territory.

Weekend rounds at Palm Beach could get canceled or delayed
For the third round, the temperature will vary between 79 degrees and 69 degrees. The major issue for the players will be the cloudy weather and 11-mile-per-hour winds. Following this, there will be high humidity of 66 percent and a five percent chance of rain.

But the final round will be the real cause of worry. The weather that day is mostly going to be one of light thunderstorms and rain. There is a 25 percent chance of rain and it is predicted after 3 p.m. This means we can either see an early start for the final round of Cognizant Classic or, worse, a cancellation or delay on Sunday.
