Back in 2012, during the Open Championship, Jason Day missed his firstborn’s birth. While the due date is in September for his fifth child, the Aussie golfer is contemplating hypothetical scenarios. His third child, Arrow, came two weeks early in 2021.

Concerning that, the couple considered Jason rushing home in the middle of the tour if the delivery date pre-pones. But his wife, Ellie Day, put his mind at ease. NUCLR GOLF, on Twitter (now X), posted a picture of the family and a dialogue with the golfer.

It read, Jason Day says his wife told him to keep playing the TOUR Championship in the event that she goes into labour during the tournament. “You’re not likely to make it back in time if I do go into labor, Day recalled his wife saying. We’re having a home birth. She said I may as well just play the tournament and try to win.” Day and his wife are expecting their 5th child in the near future, per @GolfDigest”

Winning, however, is a tricky subject for Jason Day at the Tour Championship. He sits at a nine-shot deficit and is tied at the 21st position on the leaderboard. However, the soon-to-be father added a feat under his belt this year by winning Byron Nelson for his 13th PGA Tour title.

While Jason Day vies to be with his family in these delicate yet beautiful times, his wife supports his game. Companionship proves to be important in the functioning of these hectic careers. Earlier, Jena Sims and Brooks Koepka opened up about the same.
