The scorching heat of Atlanta cannot retire Kyler Aubrey’s spirits. He is one of the biggest golf fans and a widespread presence at the tournaments. In recent news, he also made it to the East Lake Golf Club course in Atlanta on day 1 of the game. And he met none other than the champ, Jon Rahm!
Both were seen interacting in a video shared by the PGA Tour on Instagram. The post says, “@JonRahm spent some time with Kyler after his round @TOURChampionship.” The Spaniard asks, “Where’s the ball I gave you so I can sign it too?” After signing it, he puts it back. The two also lightly fist-bumped each other.
Someone, who could be Aubrey’s dad, asked if he could get a picture of Rahm and Kyler together. Referring to the scorching heat during the match, Rahm said, “Don’t touch me, I am very sweaty.” We are sure the picture would have been adorable because both were posing with wide and bright smiles.

The reel also read, “a special reunion.” It is because Kyler has often met different golfers and has developed a loving relationship over the years. His love for golf is not unknown. The 28-year-old suffers from cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair, but that does not stop him from fulfilling his desires and visiting courses. And that’s the lesson one can take from the people who are ardent followers of the game. Aubrey has a special love for Rickie Fowler as well. Fans, anyway, adore the player. Last, Kyler met him at the RBC Heritage in April.
As for his game, Rahm, just like others, is chasing the tour’s title worth $75,000,000. He was in the fourth position, and per the staggered system, he started the event at 6-under. And the Spaniard closed round 1 with a birdie and stands at seven-under.

The whole golf world was banking on seeing Scottie Scheffler play his best game. The World No.1 was in the lead when he started, and after last year, he has another chance to win the game. However, the defending champion, Rory McIlroy, is also vying for the title. Will history repeat?
However, as a surprise, Collin Morikawa jumped the line and played one of the best golf games on Thursday. Keegan Bradley and Viktor Hovland also flipped the leaderboard. Morikawa, Bradley, and Hovland are all tied at scores of -10. But, in a separate statement, Collin started at -1 and managed to bridge a nine-shot gap with his clubs to come in the lead.
He played a bogey-free round with seven birdies and an eagle. The anticipation for Friday’s game could not be any more intense. On the other hand, Scheffler lost the stroke when he started the game. He finished at -9 in fourth place.

Triple bogey affected Scheffler’s game, even though he started the round with three birdies. And McIlroy, the three-time FedEx Cup winner, stays at seven under at the end of round 1. Seeing these players in round 2 playing for a better rank will be nice. Are you excited?
