Patrick Cantlay – The first to be on the list of Americans topping the TGL field as per the Official World Golf Rankings is Patrick Cantlay. The professional is No. 5 on the OWGR list. After turning pro in 2012, he has accumulated a total of 8 PGA Tour wins, the last one coming at the 2022 BMW Championship.

Although he wasn’t able to register any wins in 2023, the 31-year-old has a total of six top-10 finishes including a T2 finish at FedEx St. Jude Championship which allowed him to maintain his position in OWGR.

Xander Schauffele – The next on the list is none other than Schauffele who sits right behind Cantlay in the rankings. He has a total of seven PGA Tour victories although none of them came in 2023. Nevertheless, his stunning performances, including seven top-10 finishes in the year, allowed him to maintain the 29-year-old’s place in the rankings despite his last win coming off the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open. The Olympic gold medallist would surely prove to be a top contender for the TGL crown.

Max Homa – Placing himself at No. 8 in the world standings, Max Homa has proved himself a strong opponent to many in the events that he has taken part in over the years. After turning pro in 2023, the 32-year-old made sure to mark his name on the annals of history by clinching victories in a total of 6 PGA Tour events, with the last one at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open.

Even Tiger Woods has been all praise for the golfer as he said, “Max is a rising star who gets better every year. He connects with the fans in such an awesome way as one of golf’s top talents and biggest personalities.”

The 29-year-old turned pro in 2017 following an impressive amateur career involving two Colorado State High School titles at Valor Christian. Moreover, his Ryder Cup debut in the year saw him return home with the figures 1-1-1, an impressive one no less.
