It seems as if the rumors aren’t true! Tony Finau himself came forward to clear the waters. There had been rumors about the golfer’s switch to LIV Golf just hours earlier. However, it seems as if they won’t go ahead to see the light of another day, as the athlete took to clear the murky waters encircling himself.
But that wasn’t all he said. Although the talk of his probable defection came as a result of Jon Rahm’s shift to the Saudi-backed league, he wasn’t quick to admonish the golfer. Moreover, Finau even went ahead to appreciate the Spaniard’s decision, dubbing it as nothing short of “best,” all the while dispelling the rumors!

Although there were rumors, the Spanish professional making his way to the PIF-funded circuit came as nothing short of a surprise to the community. But what followed was another set of speculations that Tyrrell Hatton and Finau “could” join LIV Golf as well.
However, the rumor for the latter came to be short-lived as he took to explaining his current mindset and focus. The golfer responded, “No, not yet. I haven’t let anything marinate other than just playing right now,” all the while deciding to concentrate on playing for the PGA Tour.
But even so, Tony Finau was quick to congratulate the Spaniard on his move to the Saudi-backed league. Responding to the same, he said, “Yeah, I think he made the best decision that he felt was right for his family and himself. I’m happy for him,” as he expressed appreciation for his fellow golfer.
