Tiger Woods’s moniker of ‘legend’ indubitably came as a result of his dominating skills on the course. Be it the 15 majors he has raked in or the PGA Tour victories, the golfer was able to do so with his unique techniques and remarkable talent. But, he also needed some sort of help on the course to be able to dish it out and he would continue to do so at the upcoming Genesis Invitational as well. Enter his TaylorMade tools!

One cannot discount the role that the unique equipment of someone like Woods plays during his gameplay on the greens. Well, interestingly, it appears he has decided to go ahead and change his instruments up a bit ahead of the second signature event on the PGA Tour!

The 48-year-old teamed up with the clubmakers in 2017 through a multiyear endorsement agreement for equipment. Moreover, he also took their partnership a step further when the two launched a separate brand known as Sun Day Red a while back. Now, he would be hoping to dominate the course while donning the new apparel along with the new club that he added to his bag, courtesy of his partner.

The Hall of Famer used to depend on the TaylorMade SIM Ti with a 15-degree loft for his 3-wood and an M3 for his 5-woods. However, he has now gone ahead and replaced the former with a Qi10 Tour fairway wood, at $449.99, boasting the same loft while changing the attachment to a Graphite Design Tour AD VF 7X. He had started using the same shaft back at the Hero World Challenge with his driver. ” I wanted to find something I could draw a little bit better,” said an excited Woods before going ahead to mention that “this one is definitely that.”

As for the driver, the 15-time major champion turns to the Qi10 LS driver combined with a Graphite Design Tour AD VF 7X and is lofted at 10.5 degrees. The club has a carbon face along with a speed pocket and a sliding draw weight to adjust the shape of the shot. What’s more, the equipment, marked at $629.99, boasts high performance in the low spin driver category while being able to hit the ball at high speed, with a touch of cleaner aesthetics.

The American turns to the TaylorMade P770 for his 2-irons and his 3-irons at 19.5 degrees. Meanwhile, he depends on the P7TW for his 4-irons down to his pitching wedges. However, all of his irons in the set are attached to the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. The former of the two costs $1,299.99, while the P7TW, which is “meticulously shaped to meet Tiger’s discerning eye,” is marked at $1,999.99.
