Is Tiger Woods replacing his shoes? The rumor mills of the industry have been in full motion ever since the legend hinted at the new ‘Sunday Red’ partnership that is slated to be announced soon. Well, it appears another set of speculation has arisen in the golf world that TaylorMade, which is rumored to partner up with the legend for the same, would also replace FootJoy on the greens.
A tweet was shared by TWLEGION on X (previously known as Twitter) mentioning how there is talk on the street as to how “TaylorMade will eventually launch a shoe.” Moreover, it also reported how they have also “included” the “Sunday Red brand covered footwear” as well in the “trademark filings” that were done a while back. 🚨Some speculation as to whether TaylorMade will eventually launch a shoe. Included in trademark filings, the Sunday Red brand covered footwear too. And remember at Hero, there was one day he was wearing an unmarked, unidentified shoe as well. We shall see! S/o @TeeUpKicksChris…

Recent reports and data from the United States Patent and Trademark Office indicated how ‘TaylorMade Lifestyle Ventures LLC’ had applied for a Sunday Red trademark. They did so on December 13, a day before the father-son event, the PNC Championship. Moreover, a third-party independent trademark research tool known as the USPTO report also divulged how a new application (No. 98363643) was submitted on January 18, consisting of an updated logo with the same name.
That’s not all. There have been a lot of cryptic messages from the golfer as well as the company hinting at the same. A post was even shared by Woods on his Instagram, which included a video of him using the clubmaker’s products along with a caption indicating how “This year… the numbers are changing” with TaylorMade.
Adding on to the speculations, there were also reports by the Daily Mail U.K. divulging the possibility of a new partnership with the brand in the line of clothing. It mentioned how the company is reportedly set to “expand its clothing range after advertising job positions for its ‘new apparel division’ last month.” Well, if the rumors do come true, it appears to be bad news for FootJoy.
