It seems to be another disappointing day for Tiger Woods fans! The golfer’s website had gone through a massive overhaul recently, all the while editing out pictures of the athlete wearing his iconic old partner brand, Nike, along with its logo. However, what followed the same was a piece of disheartening news, or the lack thereof for his followers, who were eagerly awaiting any news of his return to the sport in 2024.
A tweet was shared by TWLEGION on its X handle (formerly known as Twitter) which revealed pictures of the golfer and his Sun Day Red brand on his revamped website. Adding on, the fan page dedicated to the pro went ahead to add a snap of the part of the website that talked about his schedule for the 2024 season, along with the caption, “This is sad.” Unfortunately, to the dismay of his followers, the update did not give out any news of his return to the sport.

Meanwhile, the professional had been forced to withdraw from the last tournament he played owing to symptoms of influenza and dehydration. However, after his withdrawal from the Genesis Invitational due to the same, the golfer did not participate in any of the following events.
In the Arnold Palmer Invitational that came soon after, Mr. T did not commit to the signature event leading many fans to expect the golfer to make an appearance at THE PLAYERS Championship. However, the golfer was spotted playing the field at the Seminole Pro-Member. Interestingly, he partnered with the likes of Seth Waugh, the CEO of PGA of America, all the while tying for 33rd in the net competition with a score of 66.
Meanwhile, in the gross competition, the 48-year-old and his partner could only finish in 44th place with a score of 70. Regardless of his short return to the course, much to the disappointment of fans once again, the 144-player field that was announced last week for the event at TPC Sawgrass also had the legend’s name missing from the list. This makes one truly wonder if he would be taking part in any other events before the Masters.

The 15-time major champ had stayed true to his words and participated in Riviera. Unfortunately, his bad health led him to fall behind in his words of playing a single tournament each month. There would be a total of three events including the Valspar Championship, the Valero Texas Open, and the Texas Children’s Houston Open, the first of which he has only played once while boasting zero appearances for the latter two.

It wouldn’t come off as too surprising if he goes ahead and plays at the Masters, a major which he rarely misses. Regardless of the update that came a while back, many of his fans would undoubtedly be awaiting his return on the greens at least once before the first major.
