Tiger Woods seems to be hungry for more! The golfing legend throughout his professional career has raked in many accolades. Interestingly, the number of major wins undoubtedly stands tall among them. Well now, it appears he has his 16th major victory in sight as the golfer divulged his aim to win once more on the PGA Tour after the recent Sun Day Red brand drop.

The tweet shared by TWLEGION on X mentions how Mr. T revealed that “if he wins a 16th major, they’ll add a stripe and change the SDR logo which has 15 stripes for 15 majors.” Such a declaration comes just as he gears up to make his 2024 debut amid recent sightings that pointed towards injury concerns for the professional.

An iconic logo for the iconic brand. What else can be used to dub the SDR sigil – a leaping Tiger- made from 15 stripes that denote his major victories which started and ended at the Augusta National from 1997 to 2019 in the Masters Tournaments? Nevertheless, it is nothing short of a true “visual tribute” to the feat he has achieved over the 27 years of his professional career while wearing the famous red on Sundays. Surprisingly, it appears he has yet another stripe in mind in the coming years.

However, the announcement to revamp the logo in case of an additional major win comes in the face of a recent video that showcased the 82-time PGA Tour champ wearing black compression wraps on his right leg. He was spotted donning the same while walking out of his hotel after dropping the Sun Day Red brand. It seems the athlete still has a bit of discomfort with his right knee.

Even so, Woods exuding such confidence does paint a hopeful picture for his ardent fans. The 48-year-old’s conviction of playing an event per month truly helps his followers to look forward to the future. Moreover, the fact that he was able to fold his knee completely, and sit on the greens during a recent video with Foreplay Golf in January adds to the expectations. But, throughout all of this, one thing is for sure, the professional would be, from now on, sporting his own brand on the greens.

Why the color Red in Tiger Woods’s Sun Day Red?

“It’s who I am, Sunday Red,” said the golfer as he revealed his new brand to the world a while back. Adding on, he recounted how everything started with his mom, who believed his power color to be red owing to him being a Capricorn. What’s more, he was able to win some tournaments as a junior when he wore the color to the same. Well, can’t blame the guy for believing in Red after that right? Especially after raking in as many wins as he has in his career.

However, that doesn’t end there. Woods went ahead to join Stanford University and became a part of the Cardinal’s Golf Roster. Although he dropped out of the same later on, he recollected how Stanford was, and still dons the color red. Coincidence much? Regardless, the shade has truly made a mark in the legend’s life, and with the recent drop, it seems it will continue to do so!
