The 2024 PGA Tour season has been on a roller-coaster ride so far, in terms of weather! A few events have faced pleasant weather, but others, such as AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM, WM Phoenix Open, Puerto Rico Open, and even THE PLAYERS, With that, how could the Valspar Championship be any different? However, the Valspar Championship so far has been affected by darkness and unpleasant weather. The second day of the tournament faced gusty winds and showers. Saturday’s game was, however, normal, as one would say.
The event is played on Copperhead Course, which is known as one of the hardest tracks encountered all season, and it becomes even harder to hit the ball in difficult weather situations. Will the Sunday game be calm, or will the clouds pour down in Palm Harbor?
Sunday round at the Valspar Championship is expected to be mostly sunny

According to the latest weather report shared by PGA Tour Communications on Twitter, more favorable weather with less humidity is on the way to send off the event in all its glory. On Sunday, the day will start at 8 a.m. with sunny skies and a temperature of 59 degrees. The wind will be blowing from the north-northeast at a speed of 5–10 mph, which will increase slowly and gradually as the day passes.
The day will become breezier again after 10 a.m., with a wind speed increasing to up to 15 mph. The temperature is also expected to rise to 65–70 degrees. The wind speed will remain similar until 2 p.m., with the skies mostly turning cloudy. At nearly 4 p.m., a sudden surge in the temperature is also expected, making it as high as 76 degrees.
The weather will take a dramatic turn in the evening when the wind will blow from the north-east at a speed of 25 mph. The expected clouds will not mostly pour down, and the 2024 Valspar Championship will probably have a proper send-off where all 18 holes will be played!

While the final day of the game looks good so far, the same cannot be said for the first three rounds of the competition.
Weather in the opening rounds of the Valspar Championship

The opening round of the Valspar Championship was badly lit and ended up being postponed. Paul Barjon and Kevin Dougherty were the only two players left to complete their first round until then. They later resumed at 9:20 a.m. ET. The second round will begin as scheduled at 7:35 a.m. ET.
Further, the second round of the championship was also canceled because of unfavorable weather conditions. Friday’s round also became a victim of darkness. However, it later resumed on Saturday at 9 a.m. As a result of the bad weather situation, unfortunately, 15 athletes failed to finish their second round at the Valspar Championship before the play got canceled.
