The PNC Championship is just around the corner. And, John Daly, one of its biggest fans to ever play in the event, was spotted displaying his exceptional skills days ahead of the tournament. But, there’s a catch. He wasn’t exhibiting it on the course, and neither was the ‘Bad Boy’ of Golf displaying his gameplay skills.
The golfer is well known for his taste and talent in music. Despite being struck with health issues, he held close to his beautiful passion for music and his love for golf. And now, the senior pro was able to rock the golf world once again as he kept “knockin’ on heaven’s door!”

An evergreen man who has always held a smile on his face, Daly has always taken an ardent interest in rock music. Moreover, he has even released a few songs aside from his golfing career. And now, the senior athlete went ahead to indulge in his passion for the same ahead of the upcoming PNC Championship where he is to participate with his son, John Daly II.
In The Flamingo Jam, an initiative to benefit The Jake Owen Foundation, the 5X PGA Tour champ went ahead to share the stage with the likes of Darius Rucker, Toby Keith, and Jake Owen. What’s more, he was spotted displaying his musical skills on stage, all the while taking on the mantle of a rockstar.
The 2X major champ uploaded a video of him rocking the stage on Instagram with the caption, “Mama I’m still Knockin!!!!” And, oh boy did he! The 57-year-old went ahead to mention Keith’s fight against cancer and his last chemo after which he expressed his admiration for the guy. Moreover, Daly also shared how he’s also fighting the same following which he started singing “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan all the while expressing his resolve to survive cancer.

Well, if you think this is the first time he has sung this song, you’re wrong! The masterpiece by the American singer is one of the golfer’s favorite songs ever. And, many reactions started to come in following the post by the athlete as people started to respond to his performance.
Daly’s interest in music rakes in a frenzy of reactions
Even the senior golfer wouldn’t have guessed the amount of love coming his way for the post that was uploaded. Moreover, the comments ranged from words of encouragement for the 2X major champ to that of admiration for the pro. Let us take a quick look at some of them.

Many of his supporters did not forget to encourage the artist-cum-athlete for his sensational performance. Well, he did listen to them as the pro pulled off a stunning performance owing to comments, “Now the fun starts! Go get ‘em JD.”
It seems as if his passion for music has not waned throughout the years despite the many health issues he suffered from. And an ardent fan couldn’t help but point it out as he said, “That’s music Oh Yeah!”

The legendary songwriter holds the top place in Daly’s list of artists. Moreover, he has covered the song ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’ many a time throughout his life. Surprisingly, a follower expressed his admiration for the golfer singing the same as he commented, “Momma take this wedge from me. I can’t hit it anymore. Seeing you sing at Losers was one of my favorite memories. Rock on big cat!”
The talent that the professional was able to display moved many among the audience. And, naturally, some even shed tears. However, they weren’t admitting to the same as the follower responded, “No I wasn’t crying @pga_johndaly that’s music Daddy!”
Although Daly’s fight with cancer has been known in the community for a while, it seems some of his followers were oblivious to the same. Nevertheless, they were worried for the pro as they commented, “If I heard you right, you’re fighting cancer too?”
