By making cuts and winning tournaments, the 25-year-old has made a fortune this season. However, did you know that he earned more in this season than Tiger Woods had in 2000?

With 9 victories, including three majors and a World Golf Championship, 2000 was the best season Woods has ever had. And he had won $9,188,321 in the same season. According to Golf Today, he earned $1,773.46 for each shot he played in 2000.

The statistics of the greatest golfer’s best season are impressive. However, it is not as impressive as Scheffler’s 2021-22 season earnings. According to reports, the 25-year-old has won a staggering $11 million this season and topped the career earnings list.

The current world No. 1 joined the PGA Tour in 2020 but hadn’t had a win until the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Interestingly, he won his first PGA title in his 71st start, and after another four events, he had claimed two more victories, including a major and a WGC.

Furthermore, the golfer became No. 1 on the FedExCup standings entering the WGC week, and No. 1 on OWGR after winning it. As expected, most of his earnings came from the tournaments he had won. He earned a little more than $6 million from his victories, which is more than half of the total of this season’s earnings.
