The world No. 2 for a reason! Rory McIlroy had once again proven why he deserved the title a while back at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, where he won the same, taking home a cut of $1.5 million. However, he made the headlines yet again as another one of the Northern Irishman’s accomplishments was revealed. But the spotlight did not remain on him for too long, courtesy of Tiger Woods.

The revelation of McIlroy’s stats was followed by those of Mr.T’s, resulting in the latter overshadowing him by an immense margin. But what followed the insane discovery of the feats was nothing short of surprising, as many fans took to their social media handle to express the same!

In a career in the game spanning 19 years, the 34-year-old managed to finish a total of sixty-five times inside the top-2 positions. However, there’s a catch: it numbers more than the total number of times he has missed a cut over 395 events, at 58. The word ‘impressive’ wouldn’t cut it when it comes to the 24-time PGA Tour champ.

But wait! What about the 15-time major champ? Well, that’s even more crazy. Over a total of 424 tournaments played in his career, the 48-year-old has a whopping 132 top-2 finishes over a meager 32 missed cuts. If the word ‘impressive’ wasn’t able to define McIlroy, then it would be even harder to do justice to Woods.

This is but one of the areas where the legend has left the Northern Irishman biting the dust. A report released earlier ranked the 1997 Masters Tournament champ above every other golfer in terms of his PGA Tour earnings, at a mind-boggling $120,954,766. He is followed at No.3 by the TGL partner at $80,095,557. McIlroy can’t seem to catch a break!

The amazing parallel drawn between the two veterans of the game did not go unseen. Many of their fans took to the internet following the discovery. The two wouldn’t have even expected the number of responses that came as a result of a comparison that was done without their knowledge, no less!

There were a lot of comments, ranging from fans taking sides between the two golfers to others just expressing their admiration for the pair.

A fan was extremely happy about the future of golf as they took to compare the 34-year-old with young golfers such as Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland. It seems the times ahead are filled with excitement.

Another follower took Mr.T’s side as they declared a winner between the two in terms of the number of wins and majors. A total of 82-time PGA Tour wins with 15 majors as opposed to 24 victories, including 4 majors. Hard to contest!

There is a reason why the 48-year-old is dubbed a ‘legend’. An enthusiast pointed out the same while expressing their disbelief over the athlete dominating the entire golf world with his performance.

Is there a reason for Woods dominating the sport as long as he could, resulting in such stats? Well, a fan did recall how the golfer in his prime was able to wear out the field “week after week” through his insane skills.

Here’s a comforting reaction from a ‘Rors’ fan! The enthusiast pointed out how the Northern Irishman has been able to contend with the 15-time major champ by playing in a total of 395 events over his career. Woods is just up there with 424.
