A comeback of sorts for Rickie Fowler? The golfer had earlier stopped using the logo of Farmers Insurance on his golf course apparel. Moreover, the financial services company itself had announced its intention to end the partnership with the PGA Tour Pro. However, it seems as if the two are back in an alliance, as per recent reports.

A tweet was shared by Rickie Fowler Tracker, a fan page dedicated to the athlete on X (previously known as Twitter). The post mentions how the “Farmers Insurance logo has returned to the side of Rickie Fowler’s hat” while recounting how the pro had said that “they didn’t renew his contract from last year.” What’s more, the update also reports how the golfer is “back with the farmers,” all the while expressing uncertainty as to what happened during that time.

Back in January, rumors had risen about the golfer experiencing a split with the Farmers owing to the absence of the logo on his apparel. However, soon after the speculations started going around, he came forward to shine a light on the situation as he divulged how the partnership that started in 2012 with the group ended, all the while announcing his exit from the PGA Tour event that took place soon after.

Elaborating on the situation with his sponsors, the athlete said, “My contract was up and I was told they weren’t looking to renew or extend.” Adding on, he disclosed how the company had undergone some changes at the leadership levels, all the while recalling his experience with the organization. “I loved doing the fun commercials with them over the years,” said Fowler before continuing how “it was a great partnership,” all the while pointing out how “it was their decision to scale back.”

Meanwhile, he decided to opt out of the Famers Insurance Open that was held at Torrey Pines but instead decided to appear next at the Cognizant Classic. Although he had been teeing it up at the former for the past 15 years, the 6X PGA Tour champ had not won the event even once in his lifetime. Interestingly, his last outing at the same came with a T11 finish, with scores of 72-72-67-72 over the four days of play with a total of 5-under. However, this wasn’t the only Fowler’s partner around whom rumors of a split arose.
