The couple was thrilled to inform that they were entering parenthood, and on November 14, their dreams came true. Spieth and Verret welcomed their son Sammy into the world!
It was a wonderful moment for high-school sweethearts Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret who tied the knot back in 2018. Spieth’s son Sammy was born on November 14, but the pro golfer held back for a few days before breaking out the news on social media.

As soon as he felt the time was right, Jordan Spieth took his phone and posted an adorable photo of him and Sammy on both Twitter and Instagram. “Sammy Spieth born 11/14. Mama and baby doing great! Feeling blessed!” he wrote on social media.

This post was enough to send social media into a frenzy with all kinds of comments. Wishes poured in from everywhere for the three-time major champion. While the Twitter section was filled with comments from Spieth’s fans, his Instagram post saw a lot of blessings from his fellow PGA Tour pros.

“Congrats bro! That’s awesome,” Brooks Koepka commented on the post, while others like Tony Finau, Ian Poulter, and Harold Varner III followed in a similar fashion.
Furthermore, a lot of celebrities and athletes from other sports dropped in with a wish as well, like Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, for example. On the whole, Spieth received numerous comments from his well-wishers and his large fanbase.

Where will Spieth play next?

Jordan Spieth has committed to play the 2021 Hero World Challenge, an event hosted by Tiger Woods. Spieth won this event in 2014, but now, it is unsure if he will participate following the birth of his child.
There is no official word from Spieth or the organizers about his participation status. The Hero World Challenge begins December 2 and runs till December 5 at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.
