The Norwegian emerged to be on the winning side in both events that hold a lot of importance to the golf world. While one is the ultimate final of the PGA Tour regular season, the other is a prestigious competition between two nations. However, when asked which he would prefer from the two in an interview, the pro had something of a strong confession to make.

In a press conference ahead of the DP World Tour, he mentioned how career-wise, “winning the Tour Championship was more important.” However, the 6X PGA Tour champ quickly pointed out how he would always “remember those moments” from Rome, all the while dubbing the Ryder Cup as “awesome.”

Adding on, Viktor Hovland revealed how everything came out “just perfect” owing to the preparations of the Luke Donald-led team that led to the “smooth” week. The 2X DP World Tour winner revealed how each of his teammates, including him, “trusted the process” all the while following the “plan.” Moreover, he divulged how even some of the people from America who watched the great event “thought it was a great Ryder Cup regardless of the results,” all the while disclosing how “it doesn’t get any better” than to share the win with his teammates.

Moreover, ahead of his win at the TOUR Championship, the athlete was able to clinch his second win of 2023 at the BMW Championship. And McIlroy was all praise for his future Ryder Cup teammate.
