Lately, Charlie Woods and his Notah Begay III JGNC run have been the talk of the town. Not only has the young golfer been able to live up to his comparison with the 15-time major winner, but he has also been able to shed light on the uniqueness he carries in terms of skills. While the credit goes to young Charlie for his powerful display on the greens, there is another individual whose mentoring has always acted as a guiding light for the 14-year-old. It is none other than the legendary Tiger Woods.

Hence, it was no surprise that the rising athlete mentioned his father in one of the recent on-field interviews. However, the statement highlighted the relationship dynamics between the two, especially when they embrace their professional elements.

At the recent 2023 Notah Begay III National Championship, besides his victory, young Charlie Woods lived a few other moments he will cherish forever. It was the standing of his father, Tiger Woods, besides him as his caddie, along with learning from the best in the game. The 14-year-old amateur golfer exhibited insight into this aspect of his experience after achieving a dominant win.

Addressing the father-son bond in professional dynamics, the rising star stated how the ongoing recovery of his father from the ankle injury has allowed the PGA Tour professional to spend time with his son on the golf field. Further, young Charlie explained their time on the course, stating, “It’s great; we just stay in our own little world.”

The statement by the golf star was a direct indication of the kind of teaching environment the veteran star has set up. Providing more information on the same, the young player added, “We take it one shot at a time.” This side of Tiger Woods reflects how keenly he exhibits his own techniques while teaching Charlie as well, making sure to take the firm instructing approach.

There is no better proof of Tiger Woods’ son’s caliber than the 14–15 division at the Mission In Golf Club. Showcasing an exemplary display of skills, the teenage golfer executed an 8-foot putt in his recent tournament. This allowed Charlie to grab the title with an astonishing score of 66, as he pouched more than six birdies.

It is salient to note that Woods is known for his command of long drivers, but his young lad of 14 summers outdid him once.
