Wyndham Clark set himself to get hunted with his little dramatic performance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at famed Bay Hill. He was seen hitting the turf after duffing a pitch shot on the 9th hole in the third round. Clark was 40 yards short with his second shot on the par-4 9th. Unfortunately, his ball ended up in a divot. However, his on-course tantrum irked the fans. Further, it’s not just that he disrespected the course but did something equally notorious.

The 2023 US Open winner washed up his image at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. A piece of video evidence has put Clark’s integrity at stake at the event and made the situation even more controversial. While playing the 18th hole in the third round, he fanned his tee shot into the right rough. Clark punched out to the fairway and forcefully placed his club behind the ball several times. Even when his caddie cleaned the club before Clark had to hit the shot, Video evidence raised the question of whether the ball moved. If yes, then it results in a one-stroke penalty.
Denying this fact further, “I’m not cheating or anything like that or trying to improve my lie,” Clark said. Supporting the PGA star, Dusbabek argued that there was not enough evidence to suggest that Clark had changed the conditions of the shot. “I feel his ball didn’t move, and he did nothing to affect his stroke.”
However, Clark was not penalized for it. But he did not stop there; welcoming the troubles even more, he added spice by thumping the turf, and that is what triggered the fans most.
Wyndham Clark got ripped up by fans on social media
Patrons were shocked when Wyndham Clark hit his wedge shot short of the green, thumping the turf in disgust. It was surely not expected from someone who is an experienced player like Clark. He invited the whole trolling with his action, which he faced later.
One golf fan shared their own experience, and pointed out how golfers do not care for something as important as their career.
When I was a junior, we would have been suspended for something like that.
I don't understand how they tolerate it from rich people who play golf for a living and shouldn't have a care in the world…except for the ones they've imagined.

Another comment clearly showed how much the fans hated the action and wanted “off the course.”
If he did it at my club in a tourney I’d want him off the course

The next fan wrote ”He is a full-on disgrace.” Now this is not just about the rage people are having against the golfer, but worse. He lost respect as a player too!
He is a full on disgrace

Moreover, the PGA golf star also became a subject of fun. Fans mocked him openly and also took a slight jibe at the limited field of the Tour. “And wants a closed tour of 100 he’s nothing short of an embarrassment,” said the fan.
And wants a closed tour of 100 😂😂 he’s nothing short of an embarrassment

The other fan has even raised a question over his status and criticized him for being a cheater.
The cheater is delusional about his status in the frame of golf… he is not good for golf as shown here at Pebble Beach. pic.twitter.com/2NFG6YhzxA
