Well, Tiger Woods‘ comeback didn’t exactly turn out the way he envisioned it to be. Although the golfing community rejoiced at the fact that the legend was making a return to the greens, his performance at the Hero World Challenge left many, including the golfer himself, disappointed at the same.

Although the professional had expressed his confidence leading up to the game and even between the rounds, he couldn’t manage to manifest the same during the event. However, this did not deter the Hall of Famer one bit as he went ahead to reveal his massive plans for the coming year, all the while expressing hope regarding his “game!”

Despite going on a seven-month-long break owing to his health concerns, the 82X PGA Tour champ was able to put up a commendable performance at the event which he himself hosted. However, registering a score of an even par 288 over the four days could only place him in the 18th position among the 20 professionals.

Nevertheless, the disappointing outcome has not discouraged the 15X major champ as he divulged his plans for the coming year after the tournament. Looking forward to 2024, the pro said, ” I think that having a couple of weeks off to recover, a week to build up, there’s no reason why I can’t get into that rhythm,” as he expressed hope for a healthy year ahead.

Adding on to his response, Mr. T mentioned how “it’s just a matter of getting in better shape” as he commented on his current health. Moreover, the 1997 Masters Tournament champ pointed out how he felt his “game’s not that far off” all the while expressing the need to work on his recovery and his skills.

However, it’s not as if the recent performance was without any effect. Due to his long hiatus, the golfer had dropped down drastically on the Official World Golf Rankings. Nevertheless, the event has led to a tremendous change in Woods’ OWGR ranks.
