Tiger Woods‘s name is a powerful force in the golf world. His swings are truly like no other. However, even the golf world’s Hall of Famers cannot be exempted from the occasional setbacks that life brings their way. As the game of golf steps into its new season in 2024, fans have been expecting to see Tiger Woods more often on-course.

3. When the 15x major winner missed a cut for the first time in ten years
Back in the 2006 US Open, the golf great missed the cut in a major tournament for the first time in 10 years. This was after the death of his father, Earl Woods, in May of that year. Under that level of emotional stress, even the greatest of players have a hard time performing, and that is probably exactly what happened with him as well. He shot 12 over par to miss the cut for the first time in 38 majors as a professional.
All in all, it is safe to say that even the greatest of greats have their battles to fight. However, Tiger Woods’s determination serves as a reminder that with hard work and determination, one can bounce back from all that befalls them.
