Min Woo Lee's odd question—genius humor or just plain weird? What's your take?

Putting requires finesse! Oh, yes, and a putter as well. But having a club without the proper technique is moot. That holds true for any kind of equipment, be it the normal club or the broomstick putter. And these things, every golfer knows, including Min Woo Lee. The Australian was spotted in the comments section dropping a hilarious response to an enthusiast who made a comical reaction to a putting video.

“Would you putt like this if it meant you could make 50% more putts?” was the question asked by ziregolf in a new post on their Instagram handle. The video that was shared showcased a Japanese female golfer using a broomstick putter to hole the ball while receiving cheers from the crowd. The applause, however, wasn’t the only thing the video garnered; a user named back9guy replied, “I’d putt with the handle up my a** to drop 50% more putts.”

Min Woo Lee was amused, to say the least. Scrolling down the comments section, he might have seen the peculiar, yet funny response and decided it was too much of an opportunity to pass up. He hilariously replied, Is that worth only holing 2 putts a round?while alluding to the user’s comment. Suffice it to say, the golfer’s comment led to a flurry of reactions and a number of likes on the post!

Min Woo Lee’s reaction to the Instagram user sends the internet into a frenzy

Lee, over his career as a PGA Tour Pro, has earned a total of $5,690,867 after earning his card. Of this amount, $2,519,726 was earned this year due to his two runner-up finishes from the 17 events he played in while missing the cut in three tournaments. A follower, seeing the golfer talk about money matters, responded with a jab: “how much would you have made this year going -2 more every day.” Another user, meanwhile, was surprised at the athlete’s appearance in the comments section: “funny seeing you here!”

A lot of golfers have started using broomstick putters over the years, including Akshay Bhatia and Will Zalatoris. The latter was very impressed by the club after using it. “I love it,” he once said. “You rock your shoulders and that’s it. It takes the hands out of it completely.” The kind of putter helped him hole more balls easily, especially after recovering from the back injury he had suffered. Such would have been the case had they followed Zalatoris’s example instead of back9guy’s. They comically commented while replying to the user, “I’ve tried that and I didn’t putt any better, but my attitude improved immensely….” Another couple of fans, meanwhile, responded in a funnier tone to back9guy; “I’d also put the handle up your a** if it meant I’d drop 50% more putts,” and “It’s a bold strategy cotton let’s see if it pays off.”
