The golf world saw a shock when the LIV Golf-PGA Tour merger was announced. And the diva herself had a lot to say regarding the recent occurrences in the sport, especially regarding the uncertainty surrounding the deal along with the speculations surrounding the Spanish golfer jumping ships.
In one of her podcasts, Playing a Round with Paige, the 30-year-old pointed out how “it’s a very scary time within professional golf.” However, she was quick to express her surprise at how well the “community is handling” all the changes, including the rumors about the Spaniard. Moreover, the ex-pro also alluded to the mysteries surrounding the $3 billion alliance and its approaching deadline in December while dubbing the whole situation in the golf world, including its players, as “pure chaos.”
Continuing on with her episode, the glam queen recalled how before LIV Golf, the most talked-about problems were about something else. Adding on, she recounted how the “biggest issue within golf was playing music on the golf course” while also getting “riled up about joggers and hoodies during tournaments.” However, the 2022 Maxim Sexiest Woman made sure to point out what the community is witnessing right now: “professional golf crumbling right before our eyes.”
Although the golf queen talks about the changes that the sport is facing, progress is being made, albeit slowly. Regardless, not much was revealed about the merger last week, despite the deal being one of the key points of the PGA Tour at the moment.

Jay Monahan, in a New York Times DealBook Summit a while back, revealed his plans to talk with Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of the Public Investment Fund. What’s more, he divulged how the merger remains one of his key targets, all the while expressing his determination to complete the same by the expected deadline.
