It appears Keegan Bradley is all about playing with Greg Norman’s boys! He was quite enthusiastic about it recently in an interview while answering questions as the defending champion of the Travelers Championship. But many would think such a stance requires him to stand against Jay Monahan. However, that wasn’t the case, as he divulged the same soon after!

“There’s still a lot to figure out,” admitted an expectant Bradley as he alluded to the intricate details of the merger that is set to hit the golf world, hopefully. Moreover, he also expressed his belief in the men’s circuit and its commissioner. Elaborating on the same, he said, “I have so much trust in Jay Monahan and the PGA TOUR.”

Adding to that, the golfer was extremely excited about the partnership that the league managed to bag with the SSG. Why? Well, the deal led to a $3 billion investment at a $12 billion valuation, where 180 players got $900 million in equity shares, with the higher-ranked ones getting more. As a result, Bradley couldn’t help but admit, “I’m thrilled about Fenway Sports Group coming on with the PGA TOUR. I just think that they’re so smart, and I feel lucky that I’ve come along at this exact time on the TOUR because we’re making way more money, which is amazing.”

That’s not all. He also expressed how the investment would undoubtedly lead to the betterment of the game; “I think it’s so fun to come and see the TOUR growing and seeing changes to the TOUR, and I think it’s a great thing to see.” Interestingly, Billy Horschel recently expressed a similar opinion, stating that giving players equity would empower them to take control of the circuit and foster its growth.
The deal, on the other hand, also gives the PGA Tour an upper hand when it comes to negotiating with the Public Investment Fund. In a way, it has put the circuit in a position to survive even without the Middle Eastern League. But Bradley seemed to want unification, regardless.

Despite new rumors emerging each day, leading to much confusion over the merger’s development, Bradley made sure to mention how unification is unavoidable. In addition, the 1-time major champ also put forward the idea of the two groups of golfers playing together and dubbed it nothing short of pure enjoyment. “I think it would be really fun to have a tournament like the Travelers where you’re coming down the stretch against a PGA TOUR versus a LIV guy,” added the professional before highlighting how it would be “fun to watch,” as opposed to the recent events on the circuit exhibiting low viewership like the Valspar Championship and the Mexico Open. Well, it seems Keegan Bradley truly does have the growth of the game in mind!
