Golf carts and Tiger Woods are golf world antonyms. However, in recent times, it has been the talk of the golf town that the 82-time PGA Tour champ might have to bend his morals and rely on the services of a golf cart.

These speculations are undoubtedly on the rise ever since Mr. Woods made a comeback to the golfing scene in the Bahamas last year. As the golfing giant gears up to make his official 2024 PGAT debut, one question that the fans can’t seem to let go of is whether Woods will finally accept the help of a golf cart or not. So what is it?

The past couple of years have been a nightmare for Tiger Woods, health-wise. From getting his ankle surgically repaired, to then his back taking the brunt of things, the 15X Major champ is correct in saying, “It’s been a long going process.”

So will his past health struggles necessitate him taking a golf cart at the 2024 Genesis Invitational? The short answer is no. One reason is that the 48-year-old generally does not prefer taking golf carts at official events.

The other reason follows from his recent positive health update. Thankfully, his condition is better now. As per his recent health update, Woods said, “My ankle doesn’t hurt anymore, because the bones aren’t rubbing anymore.”

Thus, it seems highly unlikely that the golfing giant will have to surrender walking, for the time being. But what are some hurdles that have come in the tournament host’s way while preparing to make his comeback to an official event after teeing it up at the “soft events”?

The 48-year-old is working to smooth things out months after the end of his prolonged hiatus. However, the “aging process” is no sign of relief. Undoubtedly, things have changed for Woods since the 2023 Masters, and he has admitted that stepping into his 2024 season debut. He said, “This is my first Tour event back since I have my ankle fused, so, that’s different.”
