Is a professional on the PGA Tour making a comeback? Aaron Wise had withdrawn from the 2023 Masters Tournament in March, a week before its start. Regrettably, soon after the same, he stepped away from the game in June, all the while citing mental health reasons. But now, it appears the golfer is all set to return to the circuit soon, as per reports.

A tweet was shared by Golf Injury Report a while back on its X handle (previously known as Twitter). The post mentioned how Wise “is looking great” and is ready to return to the sport while alluding to the break he took from the game “due to mental health issues since the US Open last June.”

Although he had withdrawn from the event at Augusta National in 2023, he had gone ahead to play two more majors: the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open, the latter of which was played in June at the Los Angeles Country Club. However, he missed the cut in the same while registering a score of 11 over par over the two days with figures of 79-71, following which he has been absent from the sport.

Coming back to the Masters Tournament withdrawal, he had announced the same through a statement on social media. “Golf is just as much a mental game as it is one of physical skill,” said then-26-year-old Wise before regretfully admitting, “The mental piece of it has been a struggle for me recently.”

Continuing with his announcement, the golfer said, “I don’t take the significance of playing at Augusta lightly” before going ahead to divulge his plans to take some time away from the sport. Adding on, he acknowledged the need to do so to “focus on my(sic) mental health” in a bid to “get back to competing at a level” he was proud of.
