Last week, you saw Nico Echavarria clinching the title of champion. He did that by sweeping it from under Justin Thomas’s and Max Greyserman’s noses. The question is, will he be able to replicate it again? Well, the golfer sure would hope so as he readies himself to tee off at the World Wide Technology Championship that will soon kick off on November 7, Thursday. And those who are unable to catch it in person can tune in to their TVs.
The second edition of the FedEx Cup Fall event will take place at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante. Case in point: it is completely natural to want to go in person and watch the tournament at the 15-time major champ’s course. But for those who cannot do so, you can turn to Golf Channel, according to the official announcement by the World Wide Technology Championship.
The fans can watch all the action from Golf Channel or the NBC Sports app from 02:00 to 05:00 p.m. EST from November 7, Thursday to November 10, Sunday. Meanwhile, the live coverage of the PGA Tour Fall event can be caught on SiriusXM and PGATOUR.com from 11:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. EST.

That’s not all. The World Wide Technology Championship will be televised in Mexico and Latin America as well, not to mention be made available in over 220 countries around the world. This has made the upcoming event have a potential reach of nearly one billion households. That aside, the coverage for the two countries mentioned above will be through Golf Channel Latin America.
Quite a bit of coverage the upcoming event has built to help golf fans all over the world to watch the talented golfers tee off. They would be able to catch Eric Van Rooyen trying to defend his title while the likes of Echavarria, Greyserman, and Lucas Glover try to claim it for themselves from the defending champion’s hands.
Rooyen in hopes of defending his World Wide Championship title
No golf fan in the world would be able to forget Rooyen claiming an emotional victory last year at the Tiger Woods-designed golf course. He shot a 27-under overall 261 owing to his figures of 68-64-66-63 and clinched a 2-stroke win over the likes of Camilo Villegas and Matt Kuchar to rake in $1.4 million and 500 FedEx Cup points.

But what made the triumph all the more special was that he did so all the while being devastated for his friend Jon Trasamar, who was down with melanoma back then. Unfortunately, the athlete’s friend couldn’t make it and passed away soon after he claimed the trophy at the 2023 World Wide Championship. Thus, defending it becomes all the more personal and important for Eric Van Rooyen. Anyhow, the fans can be sure of one thing: they are in for an exciting weekend of golf in Mexico!
